Chocolate Cherry Cake Tips

How can you make chocolate cherry cake your own?

There are many ways you can make this chocolate cherry cake your own. Try stirring in some chocolate chips, chopped nuts or shredded coconut into the batter. You can also whip up a delicious chocolate frosting or a chocolate ganache to spread over the top. Or brush on a bit of cherry brandy to the baked cake; it's a key ingredient in black forest cake, which has a similar flavor profile to chocolate cherry cake.

What do you serve with chocolate cherry cake?

Serve slices of this cake with scoops of vanilla ice cream—or whatever flavor you prefer!

How long will chocolate cherry cake last?

Chocolate cherry cake should last about 3 to 4 days on the counter under a cake keeper (if it doesn't get eaten first!). While refrigerated cake will lose its quality after about 2 days, you can try this genius hack for storing cake in a fridge.
