Maple Baked Onions

I created this side dish to make use of the great maple syrup we have here in Vermont. My family loves this recipe, and it's so easy to prepare.

These were delicious. I did them as a side with pork chops done on scalloped potatoes. Quick and very tasty. I'll make these again. Janet VFE

I made these onions today and they were fabulous! The sweetness of the caramelized onions was a perfect accompaniment to my roast beef dinner. My family loved them - a great recipe that I'll definitely be making again!

How can anything so simple be sooooooogood!! Thanks for a great idea! I placed it on top of sweet potatoes, and also on scrambled eggs. I'll bet it's great with ham steaks. Frankly, it's good right out of the pan!!!!
