- 1 to 1-1/2 cups ice cubes
- 2 ounces whiskey
- 1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
- 2 to 3 dashes bitters, optional
- Maraschino cherry
- Fill a mixing glass or tumbler three-fourths full with ice. Place remaining ice in a rocks glass; set aside.
- Add the whiskey, vermouth and bitters if desired to mixing glass; stir until condensation forms on outside of glass. Strain into prepared glass. Garnish as desired. Yield: 1 serving.
