Make-Ahead S’mores

TOTAL TIME: Prep/Total Time: 20 min. YIELD: 16 s'mores.
These can be prepared ahead of time and stored. I will often pull out a few for snacks whenever unexpected company stops by. —Anne Sherman, Orangeburg, South Carolina

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 16 whole graham crackers, halved
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows

Directions

  • 1. In a heavy saucepan, melt chocolate over low heat. Add milk; cook and stir until smooth. Stir in vanilla. Making 1 s'more at a time, spread 1 tablespoon chocolate mixture over each of 2 graham cracker halves.
  • 2. Place 8 or 9 marshmallows on 1 cracker; gently press the other cracker on top. Repeat. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
