Lemonade with Orange


  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange zest
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice


  • 1. In a small saucepan, combine the first four ingredients. Bring to a gentle boil; boil for 8-10 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat. Strain and discard lemon and orange zest. Cool to room temperature. Transfer to a pitcher; stir in the cold water and juices. Chill. Serve in a chilled glass over ice.

    My favorite punch to serve is lemonaide with orange juice and an added can of pineapple juice and then 1-2 gts of 7-up or lemon lime soda.
