"We host a 4th of July party every year for about 70 guests. We prepare the brats--everyone else brings a dish to pass. This is a great cook-ahead hot tub filled with juicy brats--YUM!! Thanks Johnsonville--you make us proud!"
"We add bell pepper and onion . Really, really good."
"I use apple juice or apple cider instead of the beer, awesome"
"I generally place the brats in a frying pan with some beer and continue coking till the beer cooks down leaving a great caramel on the brats by turning them in the pan. Then I serve them, keeping them warm on the grill with a bit more beer, kraut and onions added. Really good."
"My husband and I make brats like this all the time. However, we also add green bell pepper sliced thinly, and sour kraut. We then use everything as garnish. Yummy!"
"I love doing brats this way...the longer they are in the "hot tub" the more tender and delicious they get. It also works great for grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. For a splash of summer in the middle of winter, we use a large Nesco for the hot tub...pick a sunny snowy day, grill quick, then hot tub!"
"This is very similiar to how we do them and they are delish."
