Italian Sausage Calzone Recipe

Italian Sausage Calzone Recipe

My teenage daughter and I have been experimenting in the kitchen to re-create some old-time family dishes. This calzone with spinach and sausage is definitely a favorite. Using a refrigerated pizza crust, it’s a cinch to prepare one for us or several for a crowd. –Terri Gallagher, King George, Virginia
TOTAL TIME: Prep: 20 min. Bake: 30 min. + standing YIELD:6-8 servings

"This was really good. I left out the mushrooms because I don't like them. I think I will use olives in place of them the next time. I agree with the previous writer that this does make a lot of filling and you could easily use 2 pizza crusts. It was difficult to stuff it all in one."
