Honey Cereal Bars
- 3/4 cup honey
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups Special K cereal
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
- 1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring honey and peanut butter to a boil. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla and cereal.
- 2. Press into an ungreased 9-in. square pan. Spread chocolate over bars. Chill until firm.

Very easy to make. Held together well. Very yummy. Next time if I have butterscotch chips, I'll mix them when the chocolate chips.

Good, quick and easy recipe. Because we had many boxes of Cheerios on hand we used them instead. They were great! I was worried the first time I made them that it wasn't going to firm up. But they did - not too hard and not too soft, just right. These bars are good even without the chocolate coating!

REALLY GOOD FLAVOUR, BUT I WILL USE ONLY 1/2 C HONEY NEXT TIME.
