Ingredients

  • 1 slice whole wheat bread, crust removed
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 thin slice deli turkey
  • 1 raisin
  • 5 pieces Rice Chex
  • 1 slice American cheese
  • 1 celery stick

Directions

  • 1. Spread bread with peanut butter. For door, cut turkey into a 1-1/2-in. x 1-1/4-in. rectangle; position on bread. Add raisin for doorknob and cereal for windows.
  • 2. Cut the cheese slice in half diagonally; place one piece above bread for roof (save remaining piece for another use). Add celery stick for chimney.

    this looks like a wonderful kitchen/food experience I can share with my grandchildren - and get them to eat it too! I love it when people come up with things that kids can actually DO - and have FUN with all on their own. Great job!!

    Hate to say it, but not very appetizing, although the items by themselves seem nutritional. I am glad though for any young one to take an interest in cooking, so GL.

    Letting children help in the kitchen is a great way to get them involved in choosing to eat more nutritious foods. Good for you!!
