"I made years ago and thought they were pretty good and was asked to bring to gatherings. But I made recently and didn't think much of them, kind of a strange flavor. This could just be the sausage used. Years ago a local butcher made a fabulous sausage. Now I used a store brand and I'm sure that had alot to do with the flavor. Good - but not great and I'd hesitate to make again."

"When my kids were young I started a tradition that on Christmas Eve I would make an array of appetizer-type foods that we would eat while watching A Christmas Story, and this one of the recipes I always made. (I found it in the magazine.) It was a big hit and I made it every Christmas Eve since. Kids are grown now, and I don't make it anymore since I don't eat red meat any longer, but wanted to let everyone know they are delicious. You can't go wrong with these."

"Pretty good flavor, I just used bread crumbs instead of the cracker crumbs, I think they would benefit from them!"
