  • 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1-1/2 pounds red potatoes, quartered
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice


  1. In a 6-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 7 ingredients. Cook, covered, on low 6-8 hour or until beans are tender. Stir in butter and lemon juice. Remove with a slotted spoon.
