Garden Green Beans & Potatoes
Fresh green beans paired with red potatoes make for an easy and filling side dish. To make it even better, add crumbled bacon! —Kelly Zinn, Cicero, Indiana

Makes16 servings (3/4 cup each)
- 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1-1/2 pounds red potatoes, quartered
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- In a 6-qt. slow cooker, combine first seven ingredients. Cook, covered, on low until beans are tender, 6-8 hours. Stir in butter and lemon juice. Remove with a slotted spoon.
