Fruit Salad with Marshmallows

One year I was asked to bring a fruit salad to a family Christmas dinner. I found several fruit salad recipes, but none seemed really special for the holidays. I devised this recipe and everyone loved it. After that, I became the "official fruit salad person" for all family get-togethers.

This is not a new recipe. This known as Ambrosia Salad. I would never put the sour cream in at the last minute. It needs to be put in after all the fruit is mixed so the flavors blend and chill together.

I will make this again, but I would add the sour cream and then refrigerate it for several hours. My family thought that it tasted better the next day. The sour cream didn't provide enough flavor for us. Once the fruit juices mixed with it a bit, it was great.
