Frozen Ginger-Raspberry Margarita

Raspberries and lime are a wonderful flavor combination, so I thought I'd combine them to make a raspberry margarita. This cocktail is perfect for spring or summer parties. —

Coarse sugar, optional

2 ounces blanco tequila

1-1/2 ounces raspberry liqueur

1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice

1 cup frozen unsweetened raspberries

Moisten rim of 1 cocktail glass with lime wedge. If desired, sprinkle sugar on a plate; dip rim in sugar.
In a blender, add tequila, raspberry liqueur, lime juice and raspberries. Puree until smooth; pour into prepared glass. Garnish with lime wedge and, if desired, raspberries.
