Fluffy Hot Chocolate Recipe

Fluffy Hot Chocolate Recipe

This is our daughter's favorite hot chocolate recipe. It may look like ordinary cocoa, but a touch of vanilla sets it apart from the rest. And the melted marshmallows give it a frothy body you won't get from a cocoa packet. —Jo Ann Schimcek, Weimar, Texas

"The initial fluffiness on the top of this hot drink was neat. But, the drink really didn't have much taste to it. Even adding 2 tsp of cocoa as some reviews mentioned, it still was rather bland."

"We upped the chocolate and sugar a bit to make it a little more chocolaty. This is always a hit and so easy to make. The kids love it. I'm a big fan of a little dash of cinnamon in my cup. Definitely our go to hot chocolate recipe."

"This was creamy delicious....I would agree that the melted marshmallows are a hit in this recipe. I would also agree to add more cocoa next time as the chocolate flavor was mild. I did use an off brand cocoa so that may be the reason.

*** I just made this again and added two extra teaspoons of cocoa....perfect now. If I continue to use off brand cocoa I will use 6 teaspoons of cocoa. A top shelf cocoa, I will stick to 4 until I know the flavor."

"A really good hot chocolate that is a snap to make. I did alter it a tiny bit. I added a about 2tsp more cocoa powder and a pinch of salt to cut the sweetness and enhance the flavors. Everyone was very pleased with it during our arctic blast!"

"This was a great start for me to create my perfect cocoa. I couldn't give it 5 stars because I ended up changing quite a bit. But the idea of melting the marshmallows into the cocoa was great, and for that, 4 stars! Thanks!"
