Favorite Deep-Dish Pizza

I love deep dish pizza; however, this was way toooooo deep for us. We only ate the top half of each slice. But having said that, the dough is good and this could easily make 2 pizzas and still be considered deep dish. I topped ours with red onions, mushrooms and Canadian bacon.
Loved the flavors. I didn't use whole wheat though, stuck to my tried and true recipe from TOH. I loaded all our favorite veggies and Italian Sausage. It was A LOT of crust and I like the idea that jetluvs2cook and have dipping sauce for all that pizza crust. Will be making this again with that extra dipping sauce, too much crust for me but others here love the crust. VFE
This was delicious, and a great way to sneak in whole wheat "bread" for family members who prefer white. I topped mine with pepperoni and sauteed onion, red pepper, and mushrooms. The crust baked up beautifully. This was a cinch to throw together; will definitely make again. VFE
I like the concept of this dish making a deep dish pizza! Next time I will use my own crust recipe, because personally we like a white flour crust better. The wheat flour makes it a heavier crust. I would also add more sauce...it's a lot of crust! Or you could have extra dipping sauce. That would be good too! I added ham and pepperoni to the toppings too.
This recipe was fantastic! The dough was so easy, and I decided to top it with mushrooms, sausage and white onions—my favorites!
I would love to have this recipe! Your video recipes are wonderful and I would love to have the recipes. Thank you for making something that would be difficult much easier to complete!
