Favorite Crab Pasta Salad
Wanda, a lady at work, made this for a party and boy, did it catch on fast! It's especially good for summer picnics and barbecues. —Cheryl Seweryn, Lemont, Illinois

Much Better: rotini pasta, imitation crab meat, generous amounts of sliced celery and chopped green onions. Sprinkle Tony Chachere’s Creole seasoning to tase.Dressing: In a small bowl mix fresh (not bottled) lemon juice into mayonnaise and stir into salad. Chill. Better the next day.
I took this to a family reunion BBQ and everyone loved it. One lady hovered by the dish and had three servings. I resisted adding anything to it for my first go around. Next time I will add peas or small diced celery. I feel it needs contrast. A small crunch.
I added peas to this....it was delicious
I made this and my husband loved it. I thought it was good too. I changed it though. for the coleslaw, I used a 1lb bag of coleslaw from the produce section. For the crab meat I used 2-8oz pkgs of imitation crab meat from pollock. I used extra mayo and reduced the amount of pasta to 1/2 as I didn't want that many carbs in the dish. I was great. Good recipe for potluck as it made a lot.
easy, tasty. must be careful which coleslaw one buys, mine was on the sweet side; with the crab, a little too sweet for our taste.
This is so easy and amazing. My husband loved this. I made it on a weekday and used whole wheat pasta shells. Definitely a keeper
I made this but used two cans of drained whole petite shrimp instead of the crab. I also added 1/2tsp of the Old Bay seasoning. It was very good. I never thought of mixing coleslaw mix into a pasta salad so this was different for us. Very tasty.
The idea of putting coleslaw into a pasta salad intrigued me. My husband isn't fond of crab, so I substituted barbecued chicken. He loved my BBQ Chick Salad. I loved the taste of the coleslaw in it.
I made this for a light dinner tonight and it was excellent! I added 1/2 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning and a dash of Tabasco. Very easy to make and the flavor is great. My family loved it! This is a definite keeper. Thank you to Cheryl for sharing her recipe!
Will definitely make this again. - easy to toss together, tangy seafood salad flavor, and my husband really likes it
