Ingredients

  • 10 medium fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 4 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt

Directions

Brush asparagus spears with oil; place on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 6 minutes; turn asparagus. Bake 6 minutes longer or until asparagus is tender. Combine Parmesan cheese and garlic salt; sprinkle over asparagus. Yield: 2 servings.

"This was SOOOO good and SOOOO simple!! I will definitely be making this again. One minor tweak is that I have to make sure to cook mine in the oven a little less than it stated because my asparagus was just a tad dried out. But that's not a big deal at all!"

"I prepared this recipe tonight and declare it a winner. Not only easy but absolutely delicious. The asparagus had a delightful nutty flavor. When it came out of the oven, I sprinkle it with shredded Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. We will have this again. I highly recommend this recipe as a Volunteer Field Editor."
