My family loves the flavor of French toast in the morning. So for a little variety, we like to replace maple syrup with this slightly sweet topping. It takes just minutes to make.—Carole Bilobeau, Kitchener, Ontario

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

Directions

In a small bowl, combine butter and syrup. Serve immediately. Refrigerate leftovers. Yield: about 1 cup.

"I could not get the butter and syrup to combine right. The taste was great of course but the presentation was not the best."
