"These ice cream treats are rich and delicious, but they are easy to prepare. This is a Taste of Home recipe at its finest! I used miniature ice cream sandwiches so they were easier to cover. I dipped them close to halfway and generously covered them with sprinkles for a festive Memorial Day treat. I used Crisco for the shortening, and the chocolate was very smooth. As other reviewers mentioned, these would be hard to transport due to melting quickly. Probably best for a crowd at home."

"A cute manner to create a Holiday Treat, with Red-White-&-Blue Sprinkles! Little kids will happily munch upon the decorations as their idea of celebrating for the Occasion. They will have to be pretty hard frozen, prior to packing them to take with you to the Celebration Party. Enjoy!"

"What do you use for shortening? Butter or Crisco or oil?"
