These are way too rich, and I think the recipe has way too much sugar and not enough flour. I liked the concept of dark chocolate butterscotch, but it didn't work for me in reality.
If you love dark chocolate, you'll love these brownies. They are VERY RICH, so a little bar goes a long way.
These were good, but very, very rich. I now know why the recipe says 5 dozen servings.
These excellent for anyone who loves dark chocolate!..I even added instant coffee granules to the brownies. I Did not have bittersweet chocolate but used some semi and some unsweetened..I didn't cut back the sugar because of this and they turned out fine. Will definitely keep this recipe in mind!
I don't care for dark chocolate quite this much, if I ever did make them, I would have to replace the unsweetened and bittersweet chocolate with semi-sweet chocolate.
These brownies are a family favourite and one we make any time we have the ingredients. We love them and my kids make them as often as they can, as they vanish so fast. They're a keeper for sure and going in my recipe box.
