A chocolaty rich, smooth and creamy dream of a makeover that mimics Cindy Evanoff’s original recipe in everything but calories, fat and cholesterol! Even our Test Panel had a hard time believing this fantastic makeover with nearly 200 fewer calories and half the fat and saturated fat wasn’t the original recipe. Cindy can be proud to serve this lightened up version of her family favorite to friends in Louisville, Ohio.
“I first made French Silk Pie when I was in high school, then, years later, I tinkered with the recipe until I was happy with it," says Lisa Francis of Elba, Alabama. "Now, it’s one of my husband Dalton’s favorites."
This creamy, quick chocolate pie not only melts in your mouth, it also melts any and all resistance to dessert! What an easy way to say "I love you" on Valentine's Day. —Mary E. Relyea, Canastota, New York
This pie recipe is one I clipped years ago that became a big hit with my husband and three daughters. I've been baking since I was 9 years old. Back then, my friends and I would get together on Saturdays to bake chocolate chip cookies...but we liked the dough so much we ate lots of it raw! Of all the cooking I do today, I think I still enjoy baking best. —Diane Larson, Roland, Iowa
