Copycat KFC’s Fried Chicken

2 cups all-purpose flour

4 tablespoons paprika

3 tablespoons white pepper

2 tablespoons garlic salt

1 tablespoon celery salt

1 tablespoon ground ginger

1 tablespoon ground mustard

1 tablespoon pepper

2 teaspoons salt

1-1/2 teaspoons dried basil

1-1/2 teaspoons dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon monosodium glutamate

2 large eggs
-
2/3 cup 2% milk

1/4 cup lemon juice

1 broiler/fryer chicken (3 pounds), cut up

In a shallow bowl, mix the first 13 ingredients. In a separate shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk and lemon juice until blended. Dip chicken in flour mixture to coat all sides; shake off excess. Dip in egg mixture, then again in flour mixture.

In an electric skillet, deep fryer or Dutch oven, heat oil to 350°. Fry chicken, a few pieces at a time, until skin is golden brown and juices run clear, 6-10 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.
