This is a homemade version of our favorite steak sauce. We use it on steaks, chicken, pork and burgers, or as a dip for our fries. It's also wonderful for basting grilled chicken or for barbecue ribs. You could even add it to a marinade. —Erin Wright, Wallace, Kansas

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 2/3 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
Directions
- Pour boiling water over raisins in a small bowl; let stand 5 minutes. Drain. Transfer to a blender; add remaining ingredients. Cover and process until smooth. Strain if desired. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
