"the fruit combination is wonderful...but not the mayo dressing. I add miniature marshmallows and toss it all with peach yogurt. Delicious!"
"I make a different version: apples, smokehouse almonds, cheddar cheese chunks, & marshmallows. Dressing is Miracle Whip and brown sugar. You'd be amazed at how yummy this is"
"My Grandmother and Mother made this, especially on holidays. They added bananas also. I've made it several times. We use salad dressing instead of mayo. It was delicious. A big hit with my family."
"I have not made this yet but it reminds me of the fruit salads my aunts made for Christmas get-to gathers in the early 1950's. They would put in shredded coconut and sometimes marshmallows. This takes me back to my childhood and I will be making soon."
"I couldn't stomach this at all. The mayo was a total mistake, my family didn't like it either. I remade it but just tossed everything with vanilla greek yogurt."
"Sounds yummy ??"
"I made this salad for a cookout and no one liked it. They thought I must have a mistake by putting mayonnaise in it. I put in less than called for, but it was still too much"
"I didn't have apples but I did have both yellow and red bartlett pears so I used them, and added blueberries as well. We didn't like the mandarin oranges with the different fruit mix so I removed them. I made the dressing lighter by using 0% mf yogurt to replace the sour cream and mayo. Then added 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. stevia. We all loved the outcome. Will be making this often! Thanks for the great recipe!"
"The dressing goes well with all fruit. I made it with raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries!!"
"I made this recently, but I do not like mayo, so I used Greek vanilla yogurt instead--out standing. Great to take to a picnic or BBQ as it makes a huge bowl!!"
