Turkey Nachos Recipe

I recently lost over 100 pounds. I had to change my way of eating but didn't want to give up all of my "confort foods" I love nachos and needed to find a way to make them healthy. I love poultry and knew it to be a great source of lean protein. So I developed these turkey nachos, a healthier alternative to a classic!
TOTAL TIME: Prep: 35 min. Cook: 15 min. YIELD:4 servings

Ingredients

  • * 1 Lb. roll Ground Turkey
  • * 1 Cup Tomato, Raw, Diced
  • * 1 Small Can Sliced Black Olives
  • * 1 cup Iceburg Lettuce Shredded
  • * 1/4 cup diced Onions
  • * 1 Cup Shredded Kraft free or 2% Mozzarella Cheese
  • * 1 tbsp. Cilantro, Fresh
  • * 1 Tbsp. Cumin
  • * 1 tsp. Black pepper
  • * 1 tsp. hot chilli powder
  • * 1/4 cup Triple Pepper Salsa
  • * 1/4 cup Light Sour Cream
  • * Multigrain Tortilla Chips

Directions

  • 1. Brown turkey with all seasonings. Drain. Place the browned turkey on a platter. Top with 1/2 cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, olives, remainder of cheese and cilantro. Serve with chips and sour cream and salsa on the side. Yield: serves 4
