Sauteed Summer Squash and Onions

TOTAL TIME: Prep: 20 min. Cook: 15 min. YIELD: 4 servings
Growing up my mom used to serve this as a side dish almost every week during the summer to use the abundant crop of summer squash her garden produced. It is an effortless sidedish. It was a childhhood favorite and still a favorite today.

Ingredients

2 cups onions sliced into rings - Any onion type will work
2 cups Sliced Yellow Squash
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. minced garlic
Salt & pepper to taste

Directions

Place butter in a large skillet. Add remaining ingredients. Sautee until vegetables are crisp tender. Serve and enjoy!
