Cinnamon Apple Pan Betty

I found this recipe soon after I was married decades ago. You'll need just a few ingredients that you probably have on hand. It's super quick to put together and a favorite of ours during fall and winter, when apples are at their best. —Shirley Leister, West Chester, Pennsylvania

Ingredients

  • 3 medium apples, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 cups cubed bread
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  • In a large skillet, saute apples in butter until tender, 4-5 minutes. Add bread cubes. Stir together sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apple mixture and toss to coat. Saute until bread is warmed.
