Chewy Pecan Pie Bars
TOTAL TIME: Prep: 10 min. Bake: 30 min. + cooling
YIELD: 2 dozen.
This treat is one of my husband's favorites. I've been making these bars for many years, and we still can't get enough. I never mind making this recipe—it's about as easy as baking can be! —Judy Taylor, Shreveport, Louisiana
Ingredients

1/4 cup butter, melted

2 cups packed brown sugar

2/3 cup all-purpose flour

4 large eggs, room temperature

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 cups chopped pecans

Confectioners' sugar, optional
Directions

Preheat oven to 350°. Pour butter into a 13x9-in. baking pan. In a large bowl, combine the next 6 ingredients; mix well. Stir in pecans. Spread over butter.

Bake 30-35 minutes. Remove from oven. If desired, immediately dust with confectioners' sugar. Cool before cutting.
