Cherry Delight Dessert

This smooth and creamy cheesecake-like treat is light, sweet and pretty, too. Convenience products make it quick and easy to prepare. “My husband also likes this dessert when I substitute blueberry pie filling,” notes Lanae Powell of McPherson, Kansas.

1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1/3 cup confectioners' sugar

6 tablespoons butter, melted

FILLING:

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

1 cup confectioners' sugar

1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed (3 cups)

1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
Directions

In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, confectioners' sugar and butter. Press onto the bottom of a greased 8-in. square pan.

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until smooth; fold in whipped topping. Spread over crust. Spoon pie filling over top. Refrigerate until set, about 1 hour.
