Cheeseburger 'n' Fries Casserole Recipe
- 2 pounds lean ground beef (90% lean)
- 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed golden mushroom soup, undiluted
- 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted
- 1 package (20 ounces) frozen crinkle-cut french fries
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°. In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in soups. Pour into a greased 13x9-in. baking dish.
- 2. Arrange French fries on top. Bake, uncovered, 50-55 minutes or until the fries are golden brown. Yield: 6-8 servings.
1-1/2 cups: 352 calories, 17g fat (5g saturated fat), 62mg cholesterol, 668mg sodium, 25g carbohydrate (1g sugars, 2g fiber), 25g protein.

"I am giving this 5 stars BUT I added Johnny's Seasoning to it and that's what made the huge difference. Even my 10 year old daughter said this was a "do-over"."
"I've been making this since my kids were little (now my Grandkids eat it) and it's a good basic recipe that you can tweak to your own tastes, as written it definitely needs jazzing up. I use 85/15 ground beef and brown it first by itself (no need to pour off any of the seasonings with the fat) then spoon off some but all of the fat. When I add the soups I also include 8 strips of thick sliced bacon which has been diced and cooked til crisp, 1 Tb yellow mustard, 1 tsp dill weed, 1/4 cup finely diced onion, 1/2 tsp granulated garlic, 1/2 tsp black pepper and 1/2 tsp Wrights liquid hickory smoke for a BBQ'd flavor. I Sprinkle seasoned salt to taste on the fries before putting them on the meat/soup mixture. After I dish mine up I put some ketchup on the fries and I think it tastes like the best diner comfort food ever."
"I was skeptical reading this recipe, but after all the positive reviews, I thought I would give it a try. Unfortunately, we didn't find it very tasty. The kids ate it, but was just all right. Also does not reheat well. I won't be making it again. i'm glad others enjoy it, though."
"@cwbuff2 If you think 90/10 is too greasy, you must never eat hamburger? You could use 93/7, Walmart has it all the time. But if you do be prepared for a tasteless meal.I used frozen Arby's Curly Fries because they have a nice mixture of spices. Vidalia onion chopped up is always a good idea."
"I made this recipe for 2, so cut out 1 pound of hamburger and the mushroom soup. Added some minced onion and some shredded cheese before putting on the fries. Still made in a 9 X 13 pan."

"I love this recipe, I made a few changes however. Instead of using ground beef I used ground turkey, also I did not have any cheese soup so what I did was made it how it says but also made mac and cheese and mixed it in with the main mixture. The noodles made the meal more filling and taste great my picky husband told me to keep the recipe and my son loved it even though he doesnt like much of anything."
