I made this recipe years ago as stated in recipe. Tonight I made it a little different & it was even better! I have an old fashioned type of popcorn popper (zippy popcorn popper). Before I made the popcorn I mixed together the spices; shredded the cheese & had the butter measured out (do NOT melt). After I made the popcorn I added the butter directly to the popcorn in the popper. I turned the crank to mix. Then I added the cheese & turned the crank to mix. I slowly sprinkled the spices over the popcorn while turning the crank. I divided the recipe by 4. 1/4 c popcorn; 1 1/3 T oil; 1 T butter; 1/16 tsp garlic & onion powder; 1/16-1/8 tsp popcorn salt & 1/2 c shredded cheese. Perfect!
Hey Brownnoser! U obviously have no taste for good snacks, popcorn cover in real cheeses and melted in the oven or microwave isuch tastier than a cheap synthetic powdered imitation! U people just don't know how it's done.
This "recipe" is a complete waste of time, popcorn, and cheese. You like gooey lumps of cheese making the popcorn soggy? Then this may be the recipe for you. I tried it because I didn't have any cheddar cheese powder. Now, after several attempts, I know better. This recipe is just a mess and it ruins good popcorn.
Made this awhile ago and lost the recipe. It is so AMAZING! I add a little cayenne to give it a little kick.
