Broccoli Saute Recipe
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup julienned sweet red pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 2/3 cup water
- 1-1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1. In a large skillet, saute onion and red pepper in oil for 2-3 minutes or until crisp-tender. Stir in the broccoli, water, garlic, salt and pepper. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5-6 minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender. Yield: 5 servings.
3/4 cup: 82 calories, 6g fat (1g saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 142mg sodium, 7g carbohydrate (3g sugars, 3g fiber), 3g protein.
