Reviews forBBQ Hot Dog & Potato Packs
"Since I like all kinds of veggies I would add caramelized onions and peppers, a wedge of cabbage, potatoes and smoked sausage. As written, my grandkids would like it, sans onions. Tip, I caramelize a whole bag of onions, put in smaller containers and freeze. Same for bell peppers, take out as needed, a time saver."
"I used raw potatoes sliced thin and sweet onions sliced thin. I put the potatoes on the bottom of foil pack, than onions on top with the hot dog, BBQ sauce and cheese and wrapped the foil tight. I put the packets in a 425 degree oven for 40 minutes. It was delicious."
"Could this be baked in the oven? How long and at what temp? Thanks"
"We did the BBQ Hot Dog & Potato Packs....We changed it up alittle and added to it...we wrapped the Hot dogs with Bacon and also topped with dark brown sugar.... OMG"
"easy, delicious. Nuff said!"
"What a wonderful surprise, I had the ingredients on hand and needed a quick meal to take out to the folks. This was gobbled up by the kids and adults. I did not use quite as much BBQ sauce just for my tastes. I used fresh potatoes, and they cooked so nicely. I was so pleased . I will be making this for our camping trips."
"easy and delicious"
"Cloudy day today and this will be great on the grill if it rains as don't have to stand over it. I have Italian Sausages and sweet Potatoes that I will sub. So glad I saw this as I am sure it is wonderful."
"This was very good! So easy, I love packets like this. Will be making again. Made in the oven and when the weather gets nicer, will try them on the grill!!"
"Simple, easy, delicious! I'm wary of using too much processed meat in my home, but this was worth a splurge! We made ours on the grill and subbed some idaho potatoes that had been microwaved for two minutes."
