Banana-Nut Cornbread

A boxed cornbread mix gets a tasty treatment when dressed up with bananas and chopped walnuts. These moist golden loaves are a great addition to a brunch buffet or bake sale. —Janice France, Depauw, Indiana
Ingredients

2 packages (8-1/2 ounces each) cornbread/muffin mix

1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium)

1 cup chopped walnuts

1 cup 2% milk
Directions

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients just until blended. Spoon into 2 greased 8x4-in. loaf pans.

Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
