Banana Apple Muffins

3/4 cup old-fashioned oats

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

3 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 large egg, room temperature

1/3 cup 2% milk

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1/2 cup grated peeled tart apple

1/4 cup mashed ripe banana

Preheat oven to 375°. In a small bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients. In another bowl, whisk egg, milk and oil. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in apple and banana.

Fill 6 greased muffin cups about three-fourths full. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean, 25-30 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
