Baked Sweet Potato Fries

I can never get enough of this baked sweet potato fries recipe! Even though my grocery store sells them in the frozen foods section, I still love to pull them out of my garden and chop them up fresh! —Amber Massey, Argyle, Texas

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 425°. Combine all ingredients; toss to coat. Spread fries in a single layer on 2 baking sheets. Bake until crisp, 35-40 minutes. Serve immediately.

    Keeper, keeper...! I used a white and an orange sweet potato for this recipe. I used smoked paprika instead of sweet out of personal preference. Using the two cookie sheets kept the fries spread out so they got nice and crunchy. I lined the sheets with non-stick foil for very easy clean up.

    Baked Sweet Potato fries are the best. This is very similar to my own recipe. I don't peel the potatoes , just scrub them well. I also add onion powder to the other spices. I use EVOO instead of canola oil.
