Applesauce Streusel Muffins

One day when I didn't have apples for my favorite dessert recipe, I used applesauce instead. I also put the batter in muffin cups so the men working cattle at our place could easily eat these treats in the field. —Beverly Medalen, Willow City, North Dakota

I used a "spice" cake mix instead of yellow cake mix and they turned out great! Also used brown sugar in the streusel on top. My kids loved them!
