Apple and Ginger Infused Water
Total TimePrep: 5 min. + chilling
Makes8 servings (1 cup each)
- 2 quarts water
- 1 medium tart apple, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sliced fresh gingerroot
- Combine all ingredients in a large glass carafe or pitcher. Cover and refrigerate 12-24 hours. Strain before serving.

Apple and ginger always go together (think apple pie.) The vanilla adds a nice twist. The apples float, the ginger sinks. Make sure the water is stirred or swirled after straining so that the flavors meld.

A simple alternative to plain water. The apple and ginger pairing is delicious but not overpowering. I would definitely encourage you to muddle the apples and ginger a bit before adding the water so the flavors will come through.
