- 4 large heads cabbage, shredded
- 1 pound carrots, shredded
- 6 medium red apples, finely chopped
- 3 cups mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 3 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons pepper
- In a very large bowl, combine the cabbage, carrots and apples. In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper. Pour over the cabbage mixture and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Yield: 42 (3/4-cup) servings.
