Air-fryer pork chops are such an easy recipe and take so little time, you’ll wonder why you didn’t know about them sooner. If you love finding new things to cook in your handy air fryer, this recipe is a great one to add to your list.

We have a lot of tips on how to cook pork chops, but this is one of our favorite easy pork chop recipes (and air-fryer recipes!) to have in our back pockets.

This recipe is for air-fryer boneless pork chops, which tend to cook faster than bone-in chops. They’re also cut smaller, so you can fit more in the air-fryer basket without overcrowding. The breading is a seasoned almond flour mixture, but you could also just use a dry rub on the chops. Cooking spray is your friend when it comes to air-frying, too. It helps the breading crisp up while preventing things from sticking to the air fryer.

These pork chops cook in the air fryer for about 15 minutes, just enough time to get a few side dishes ready for the table. This will quickly become one of your favorite pork chop recipes, promise.

Ingredients for Air-Fryer Pork Chops

  • Pork chops: Boneless pork loin chops are one of the best types of pork to use for quick cooking, but they can dry out quickly. The key to ensuring a juicy pork chop is to keep an eye on the cooking time and the internal pork chop temp (145°F).
  • Almond flour: Coating pork chops in a breading or flour mixture, as in this recipe, locks in moisture as the meat cooks. Almond flour is one of our favorite types of flour to use, especially for gluten-free baking and cooking. Here, it adds a hint of nuttiness and a bit of texture to the coating. You can use all-purpose flour in its place if need be.
  • Parmesan cheese: Grated Parmesan cheese adds a savory nuttiness to the coating on these chops. Look for one that’s finely grated, almost in powder form.
  • Seasoning: Garlic powder, Creole seasoning and paprika add lots of good savory, peppery notes to these pork chops. Make your own Creole seasoning mix, or buy your favorite brand.

Directions

Step 1: Coat the pork chops

Preheat the air fryer to 375°. In a shallow bowl, stir together the almond flour, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Creole seasoning and paprika. Coat the pork chops all over with the flour mixture, and shake off the excess.

Editor’s Tip: Don’t pat your pork chops dry before using them in this step. The moisture will help the seasonings and flour adhere to the meat. Also, it’s important to preheat your air fryer because, just like a hot oven, using the proper cooking temperature prevents the meat from overcooking or becoming tough.

Step 2: Air fry the pork chops

Working in batches as needed, place chops in a single layer on a greased tray in the air-fryer basket. Spritz the chops with cooking spray.

Cook the pork chops until they’re golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes, or until a thermometer reads 145°, turning the chops and spritzing with additional cooking spray halfway through cook time. Remove the pork chops, and keep warm while repeating with the remaining chops.

Editor’s Tip: To keep the pork chops from drying out, check the meat’s internal temperature at 12 minutes, then add more cook time as needed. If it’s close to 145°, you may only need another minute or two.

  • Use bone-in pork chops: You can make bone-in pork chops in the air fryer. You may need to adjust the cook time, depending on the size and thickness of the bone-in chops.
  • Make them crispy: Add breadcrumbs or cornflakes to make a crispier coating for the pork chops. Here’s our recipe for air-fryer breaded pork chops.
  • Add different seasonings: Mix and match the seasonings on your chops. Try adding white pepper, smoked paprika or a pinch of cayenne. Our pork chop seasoning recipe is full of herbs and spices.

How to Store Air-Fryer Pork Chops

Store any leftover cooked chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days.

To reheat the pork chops, preheat the air fryer to 375°. Let the pork chops rest at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes before reheating. Place the pork chops in the air-fryer basket, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Then, flip them, and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes, until heated to 165°.

Air-Fryer Pork Chop Tips

How long should you cook pork chops in an air fryer?

Our air-fryer boneless pork chops cook in 12 to 15 minutes in a preheated air fryer. Remember that thicker-cut chops might take longer, as do bone-in pork chops.

What can you do if the air-fryer pork chops are tough?

If your air-fryer pork chops turn out tough, all is not lost. You can slice the meat very thinly, and add it to your next stir-fry or casserole. The extra liquid and fat in these dishes will help slightly rehydrate the meat.

What can you serve with air-fryer pork chops?

Serve any quick and easy side dish with these pork chops, like red roasted potatoes or glazed ranch carrots. Since your air fryer will already be nice and hot from cooking the chops, consider one of these tasty air-fryer side dishes.
