Corned Beef Herbs

My wife and I enjoy corned beef and cabbage, especially the seasoning that comes in the packet with the beef. But we don’t like the little bits of herbs and spices on our food. Last time, rather than create a spice bag from cheesecloth, I placed the seasonings in a metal tea ball and put it in the pot to cook. It was easy to remove when dinner was done and made the robust flavor of the seasonings even more enjoyable. Leamon D., Fairbanks, Alaska
