Color Swirled Cake

Preparing angel food cake from a boxed mixed as a light dessert? Dress it up after stirring together the batter by pouring half into the pan. Then put drops of food coloring in different areas and gently swirl into the batter with a toothpick. I add the rest of the batter and repeat with more food coloring. Once you’ve baked, cooled and cut the cake, you’ll see the colorful design. It’s fun to coordinate the colors for different holidays.
