Adding Fiber to Bread

My husband loves bread made in our bread machine, but he generally only likes plain white bread or sourdough bread. I wanted us to get more fiber in our diets, so I tossed a cup of high-fiber cereal into the dough one day. It was great, and he loved it. I’ve often found that whole-grain breads are not fluffy and light, but my version was still soft and yummy…and it had the added fiber and flavor from the whole-grain cereal. I’ve used Grape Nuts, Oatmeal Squares and even flaked cereals with nuts and fruit. Each has been wonderful. Cheryl N., Canton, Georgia
