How-to Make Bow Place Cards

Begin by folding a 3-1/2-in. x 4-in. piece of card stock in half to form a 3-1/3-in. x 2-in. rectangle. Open the place card; use a craft knife to cut a 1/2-in.-long slit through the center of the card. With an embossing pen, write dinner guest's name on the card. Sprinkle with embossing powder; melt powder with a heat gun. You can also write names with a paint pen. Wrap a 22-in. length of organza (sheer) ribbon around a 1-in. wide piece of cardboard. Tie ribbon ends in bow. Slip the bow off the cardboard piece. Thread the bottom loop of the ribbon through the slit in the place card to hold the bow in place.
