How-to Grill a Whole Salmon Fillet

Prepare the salmon according to the recipe, leaving the skin on (this makes it easier to remove the fish from the grill). Lightly oil the hot grill to prevent sticking, then place the whole fillet, skin side down, onto the grill. Cover and cook until done. There is no need to turn the fillet during cooking.

With a spatula, gently remove the salmon to a serving platter. The cooked fish easily separates from the skin, which makes serving up portions of the fillet quite simple.
