Christmas Tree Napkin Fold
Spruce up the place settings on your Christmas brunch table with napkins folded to resemble evergreen trees. This fold works best with a stiff square cloth napkin that holds a crease. Spray starch or sizing can be used to stabilize lightweight or soft fabrics. Start by placing the napkin with the seam side up on a flat surface.
Fold napkin in half from left to right to make a rectangle with the fold on the left.
Fold the top corners to meet at the center. Repeat with the bottom corners.
Fold the top point down and the bottom point up to make a square.
Fold the square in half from top to bottom to make a rectangle.
Take the top layer of the lower right corner and bring it to the lower left corner, forming a large triangle. Crease the napkin.
Fold the left point of the triangle back to the right and align points.
Take the top layer of the lower left corner and bring it to the lower right corner, forming a large triangle. Crease the napkin.
Take the top layer of the lower right corner and bring it to the lower left corner and align points.
Stand the napkin up, evenly spreading the four folds to resemble pine boughs. Tie gold metallic cording into a double bow. Place bow on top of tree napkin.
