Seeing back-to-school sales might give us shivers, but Pier 1 has given us a reason to get ready for autumn. The cute n’ crafty home goods store released their decorations for Halloween 2018! Last year’s collection brought us bejeweled skulls and cobweb coasters, but this release (the “Midnight Carnival Collection”) is even sweeter.
The perfect way to serve up spooky snacks for Halloween, this chip-and-dip tray is both cute and clever. There’s a trough in the center for guacamole, hummus or salsa, with the witch’s brim ready to hold your chips! (Perfect for any of our crowd-pleasing dips.) It also comes with the top part of the witch’s hat, which can keep the dip covered until you make the big reveal.
Usually party prep means clearing all the cobwebs OFF the furniture… but this Halloween, get ready to get webby! This adorably creepy table runner is ideal for adding some holiday flair to your Halloween fare, whether you’re serving up marshmallow ghosts or cupcake bats. (Plus, at $15, it won’t cut into your candy budget.)
Let’s be honest: The minute Halloween decorations go up is the minute you can start having candy on your desk at work! It never hurts to have Kit Kats and Crunch bars to get you through the day.
If the pun on this one isn’t enough to put you under a spell, think about how cute it will look while lending some holiday spirit to your oven handle or towel rack.
This hand-painted haunt will impress all of your houseguests. At $12, it’s surprisingly affordable for such a novelty item—you bet we’ll be using them to add a little spooky spice to our flying bat pizzas. As an added bonus, there’s no way to accidentally mistake the pepper for the salt when one of them is a hat and the other is a boot!
Decorating for Halloween can be difficult if you’re afraid of clutter, which makes a standout piece like this perfect. Without taking up any table space, it will add unmistakable color and spirit to your living room mantel or kitchen shelf.
Looking for other classy ways to decorate? Try no-carve pumpkins.
Trick-or-treating is way more fun when the candy comes straight from the witch’s brew. Will you pull out some cursed candy corn? Some Hermione-worthy chocolate frogs? That’s up to you.
Speaking of trick-or-treating… how did that become part of our Halloween tradition? We looked into the history.
We can’t wait to use this mug for our pumpkin spice lattes every morning leading up to Halloween. Ever wondered what’s actually IN a pumpkin spice latte?
Looking for something more permanent than plastic cups? These stemless acrylic glasses are the next step up, looking elegant with “trick or treat” scrawled in haunting calligraphy. Maybe you can even add a ghoulish garnish to bring the scare factor to a whole new level!
Welcome to the Twilight Zone! This carnival-esque wreath dripping in gold and blue provides a more interesting color scheme than your typical orange-and-black. Hang it on your door to welcome guests into a starry scene.
