Create a Makeshift Runner
Holiday hack here! If you need a quick but cute table runner for your party, look no further than the craft closet. Unfurl a roll of festive gift wrap on your surface for a splash of color and quick cleanup after the fact. Our favorite patterns are retro stripes, Buffalo plaid and polka dots.
Deck the Table
Keep things casual at this breakfast soiree by setting up your spread on a coffee table. Then, break out the disposable goods, such as napkins, straws and plates. But don’t stop there with the paper products! Bright honeycomb trees of all colors and sizes lend fun, festive nostalgia.
Brew up a Coffee Bar
Have some holly jolly java! Partygoers will perk up for a pot of joe paired with homemade creamers (bonus points if they’re festive flavors!), grab-and-go mugs, and other spices and stir-ins, such as cinnamon sticks or sugar.
Blend a Beverage
Drink your morning dose of fruit and protein with a wholesome sipper. These gorgeous Berry Breakfast Smoothies include a splash of wintry cranberry juice as well as a sprinkling of frozen berries. Guests will be saying “brr!” in the best way.
Stack a Snack
Mimic the classic conifer with a croquembouche made of homemade doughnut holes (store-bought work, too!). Turn a plastic foam cone upside-down on a serving platter. Stick toothpicks in even rows around the cone, then thread doughnut holes onto each pick until the cone is completely covered. Then round out your menu with breakfast sliders and fresh fruit.
Cue up Carols
What’s a party without some tunes? Whether you have your faves on vinyl or a playlist, your crew will be delighted to hum and sing along to classic songs. We love Elvis’ Christmas Album and The Beach Boys’ Christmas Album. Or try a book on tape, such as How the Grinch Stole Christmas, for the little ones.
Psst! Tune into our holiday baking playlist.
Play the Day Away
In need of knee-slapping, all-ages entertainment? Play some holiday-themed charades! Write prompts on jumbo craft sticks, wrap ’em with washi tape for Christmasy cuteness, then prop in a jar for picking. Some starter ideas: making a snow angel, sledding down a hill and Santa sliding down a chimney. And don’t miss out on this exciting saran wrap Christmas game that the whole family will love.

Sport your PJs
Stay put in your cozy clothes! Invite friends and family to leave their holiday best at home and, instead, arrive in their favorite fleece and flannel sets. Family Christmas pajama sets encouraged. This is a morning full of lounging, laughter, love and, of course, good food.
