Dinosaur-themed birthday parties are a hit with kiddos. They’ve even reached royal status. When Prince George turned four, there was only one option for his birthday party: dinosaurs. Mom, Duchess of Cambridge Kate confirmed, that her oldest son’s favorite dino is a “T-Rex because it’s the noisiest and the scariest.”

Decorate dino cookies
Whip up a simple batch of sugar cookies in advance, and use cookie cutters to transform them into dinosaurs. Not only will this be a fun activity for the kids to decorate their own cookies on the dino of their choosing during the party, it leaves you more time to prep other fun snacks!
Serve up dino-worthy drinks
All your thirsty pterodactyls and brontosauri are going to be thirsty. Serve them up fun twists on lemonade. Help kiddos mark which drink is theirs with these fun dinosaur straws from The Party Penguin on Etsy.

Dinosaur cakes are a must
Leave all the party-goers in awe when it’s time to sing happy birthday and you bring a dinosaur cake out. Take your favorite layer cake and decorate with your favorite prehistoric colors—think greens and tans. Then top off with some simple dinosaur toys. Add a few jungle leaves (find them in the faux floral department of your local craft fair) for extra impact.
