Julie has been developing recipes, photographing food and writing about food for over 12 years. She has created hundreds of recipes for her food blog, The Healthy Epicurean, and has amassed an audience of over 1 million.

Julie is a 3-time published cookbook author, focusing on helping people reduce their risk of chronic illnesses and heal their relationship with food through cooking. Throughout Julie's career, she has taught dozens of cooking classes and been featured in print, digital and televised media as a nutrition expert and chef. Julie has traveled the country to attend food, agricultural and nutrition workshops and seminars as a food influencer.

As a culinary dietitian and consultant, Julie has worked in teaching kitchens, supermarkets and restaurants. She has spent many hours creating and testing recipes, styling dishes and shooting food photographs for food brands, digital publications and commodity boards. When she's not in the kitchen, you'll find Julie tending to her vegetable garden, chasing her kids around the yard and ordering takeout from her favorite restaurants.
